THE MHE DISTRUPTOR:
Combilift Multidirectional Machines
What can be said that already hasn’t been said about this materials handling phenomenon? Located in Monaghan, Ireland, Combilift was established in 1998 by Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett, both highly qualified engineers with decades of experience between them. Their expertise, knowledge of the market and practical experience led to the development of the Combilift – the ultimate long-load material handling solution.

Pioneering Products
Four-Way manoeuvrability
- 2.5 to 25 tonnes capacity
- Diesel, LPG & Electrics
- Space saving & highly flexible
- Ideal for long load handling
- Award-winning innovation
- Improves safety & reduces double-handling
Combilift’s incredible export success has as much to do with knowing the industry and acute business acumen as it has as much to do with the radical nature of the original product. The early years emphasised Combilift’s ability to adapt the basic concept to bespoke machines. Today, that ethos has led to the development of other market-busting designs, such as the Combi-SC Straddle Carrier and the pedestrian reach stacker, the WR.
More than 28,000 units have now been sold and Combilift products can be found in over 75 countries.
Our Combilift experience:
We have been closely associated with the Combilift and Aisle-Master products since they were first introduced into the UK. We’ve seen at first hand the transformational effect the machines have had on customers, where space saving and cost-saving do not always go hand in hand.

SAFE & PRODUCTIVE
Mistakes can be costly, which is Combilift places safety as a top priority. With a low centre of gravity and integrated platform, Combilift trucks make it simple, swift and safe to transport long and heavy loads.
Multi-directional motion means easy navigation around obstacles, so there’s no need to travel with a load held aloft. As for narrow aisles or doorways, no problem – and no damage to your buildings, your truck or your product either.

SPACE SAVING
The patented four-directional technology means that Combilifts are not restricted by the length of the load – so they can navigate narrow aisles and doorways with ease.
This exceptional manoeuvrability maximizes the amount of storage space in your warehouse. Some of our customers have gained 100% extra storage just by switching to Combilift.

BESPOKE CUSTOMISATION
According to the company, the only time Combilift makes two identical forklifts are when a customer loves their first one so much, they order another.
Combilift can tailor the specification of everything they manufacture according to the individual needs of the customer. Their engineers can take every variable into account – warehouse size, aisle width, load size and type, external terrain, climate and even the physical characteristics of the operator.

Why Use A Combilift?
From the smallest 2.5t C2500 to the giant C25000 (25t) and with a wide range of models and capacities in between, the Combi C-Series offers multidirectional capability enabling sideways travel with long loads. The Combi C-Series negotiates tight corners with ease, can pass through doorways and manoeuvre safely around obstacles. The trucks work in aisles far narrower than those needed by reach or counterbalance trucks.
- The Combilift is designed to handle long-loads safely. By eliminating the need to travel with elevated long loads, the unit provides greater stability. Its integrated platform with low centre of gravity also provides a more stable base.
- The ability to work inside and out allows more streamlined offloading and load handling in and around the warehouse. This eliminates double handling, increases operational speed and combined with the ability to work in narrow aisles contributes to vastly increased productivity.
- Combilifts excel where space is at a premium. Thanks to the ability to move forwards, backwards and sideways, Combilift has changed the face of materials handling at an amazing pace.
